carrying the tradition forward
A simple family recipe, and a whole lot of love.
Maga's Skin Therapy began nearly 25 years ago with a simple family recipe and a whole lot of love.
My grandmother was inspired by her sister, Frances, who shared with her the original balm recipe that would eventually become known as Maga's Skin Therapy. What started as a homemade remedy for family and friends soon became something much more meaningful.
The name "Maga" came from my cousin, Ava. When Ava was a baby learning to talk, she couldn't quite say "grandma," so she called her "Maga." The name stuck — and so did the balm my grandmother lovingly used on her. From then on, it became known as Maga's Skin Therapy.
Another one of my cousins, Talia, helped my grandmother realize that this special product could reach beyond our family. Talia used the balm regularly and began sharing samples with her friends. When they kept asking for more, she encouraged my grandmother to make Maga's Skin Therapy available to others.
My grandmother knew she had created something special. Made with just three simple ingredients — lanolin, organic almond oil, and vitamin E — Maga's Skin Therapy was created to help nourish, protect, and repair dry skin.
Today, I am honored to carry on my grandmother's legacy and continue sharing the product that began as a small family tradition nearly 25 years ago. My goal is to preserve what made Maga's Skin Therapy special while bringing her story, her product, and her passion for caring for others to a new generation.
